Reinhartsen Shellfish products are supplied from a modern seafood brining plant in Skagen in Northern Denmark, operated by Launis Fiskekonserves A/S.
The Launis plant in Skagen brines 1000 tonnes p.a of cooked and peeled prawns, crayfish tails and other seafoods. Additionally the company’s trawlers land fresh prawns which are cooked, peeled and brined in one operation.
The Nielsen Fiskeeksport subsidiary has an annual production of 6,000 tonnage of herrings, and another subsidiary at Lofoten (Gimsoy Pelagisk) takes care of the handling of raw herrings. This enables the company to have full control and traceability over the herring products. Together with the subsidiaries the company has invested in a dedicated waste water recycling plant to treat all the waste water from both factories.
Accreditation for Product Quality & Safety Awards:
Launis Fiskekonserves A/S has been awarded the certificate of International Food Standard (IFS)
for production of semi and fully preserved brined seafood products.
